Senior Accountant - Project Consultant

Job Description

Headfarmer is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team as a Project Consultant. Providing accounting support for various client projects across multiple industries, from emerging startups to publicly traded organizations. Participate in accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities may include:

• Lead day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients, including balance sheet account reconciliation, journal entries, and the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Provide recommendations to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with client teams to understand project objectives and deliverables.
• Support and ensure compliance during internal and external audits, maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements and upholding the highest standards of integrity.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to diverse industries.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a consulting or project-based environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in a variety of accounting software like Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, and MS Office Suite.
