The Role
We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Chandler, AZ operations. In this role, you’ll manage and track the company’s short-term obligations to its vendors, suppliers, and service providers. - Process and verify invoices for goods and services received, ensuring accuracy and proper approval.
- Record and categorize all accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update vendor files, including contact information, tax forms, and payment terms.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for invoices, payment records, and related correspondence.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable status, outstanding invoices, and payment schedules.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities and audits.
- 1-2 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience working with Sage 100 software preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
