Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

We’re hiring for a Controller to join the leadership team of a well-established, multi-location distribution company serving the construction and building products market.

This is a true ownership role for someone who likes being close to the numbers while also having a voice in the broader business. The Controller will lead the accounting function, oversee reporting and close, strengthen processes and controls, and partner closely with executive leadership across the organization.

• Own full-cycle accounting across GL, AP, AR, payroll and fixed assets
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close and financial reporting
  
  Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly variance/performance analysis
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies and regulatory compliance
• Oversee ERP/accounting systems and drive process improvement and automation
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team
• Coordinate tax, audit and outside CPA matters
• Partner with leadership on financial reporting, planning and business decisions

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience,5+ years in a Controller or similar leadership role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting and full-cycle accounting background
• Experience owning month-end/year-end close and financial statements
• Proven accounting team leadership experience
• Strong ERP/accounting systems experience and advanced Excel skills
• Budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and process improvement experience
• ESOP / employee-owned company and 401(k) reporting experience preferred
• Multi-location or multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred
