Receptionist - PRN/Per Diem Job Description

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120‑bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co‑occurring addictions.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist all visitors.
  • Answer the phone.
  • Document incoming deliveries.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Provide clerical support as requested.
  • Prepare weekday deposits.
  • Prepare monthly statements for mailing.
  • Assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned.
  • Assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after‑hours shifts if assigned.
  • Serve as backup as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education:

    High School diploma or GED.
  • Preferred Education:

    AA, business or related field.
  • Minimum Experience:

    Two (2) years of experience on a multi‑line telephone switchboard.
  • Preferred Experience:

    2 years of reception and clerical work in a health care environment; knowledge of HIPAA.
