Location: Chandler, AZPay Rate Range: $51.40-$66.71/hr w2
Position Overview
The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the permit process from initial request through approval and closeout. This role ensures that permit requirements are properly documented, reviewed, communicated, and tracked so that work is performed safely and in compliance with project requirements.
The Permit Coordinator serves as a key liaison between field execution teams, system owners, permit authorities, construction management, ES&H, and operations personnel. Experience supporting semiconductor or data center projects is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, review, and track permit requests throughout the approval and closeout process.
- Maintain accurate permit logs, records, status reports, and supporting documentation.
- Verify that permit applications and required documentation are complete before submitting them for review and approval.
- Coordinate required reviews, approvals, and hold points prior to permit issuance.
- Maintain records of permit approvals, closures, revisions, and associated documentation.
- Monitor permit status, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure requirements are met.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication between permit requestors, approval authorities, and project stakeholders.
- Confirm that work scope, boundaries, potential risks, and required mitigation measures have been properly reviewed and addressed.
- Verify that all required approvals and hold points are completed before work begins.
- Support the coordination of shutdowns, system isolations, site access requirements, and facility notifications.
- Ensure applicable permit requirements are incorporated into work packages, job plans, and pre-task planning.
- Support project audits, compliance reviews, and readiness assessments.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective-action tracking related to permit issues or deficiencies.
- Identify potential permitting issues and proactively coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them.
