The role of the Repairs Manager is to analyze the current systems and create the best methods for day-to-day repairs operations. The position is responsible for overseeing the repairs department staff, establishing repairs coordinators goals based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections for the coming year and setting career objectives for each member of the repairs team.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Problem resolution such as vendor issues and damaged goods
  • Fully understand ITS and industry regulated Certification and Traceability Requirements
  • Consistently communicate new information and changes of vendor’s capabilities
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Work closely with Sales Management to ensure the right product is available
  • Craft negotiations strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Disposition of repair quotes limited to approval, rejection or request for reevaluation.
  • Be the product expert within all ATA chapters
  • Facilitate correcting noted nonconformities and on-hold material
  • Develop repair supplier performance data and provide to vendors
  • Liaison with repair vendors
  • Distribution of work to Assistant Repair Coordinator(s)
  • Approval for scrapping parts – as parts are sent to the certified repair stations, repair quotes are compared to market value and a part is deemed Beyond Economical Repair and/or the repair methods do not exist
  • The approval is limited to the scrap of parts tied to Repair Orders
  • Manages, coaches, leads and mentor’s repairs team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 7+ years of successfully directly related experience in an aerospace environment
  • Displays strong mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to handle adverse and urgent situations
  • Ability to think strategically and develop and implement business strategies
