Network Construction Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Network Construction Manager for a Contract role with a client in Chandler/PHX, AZ
. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $39/hour

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Partner closely with Fiber Engineers to qualify projects and review constructability based on design specifications.
• Manage all external vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and on‑budget project completion.
• Conduct constructability reviews for aerial and underground fiber construction.
• Develop detailed construction bid packages and competitively bid projects to subcontractors.
• Manage preparation and submission of permitting and construction plans.
• Order and track delivery of third‑party and customer-supplied materials.
• Oversee all site construction activities, ensuring compliance with customer, internal, and industry standards.
• Coordinate permitting and licensing with city, county, state agencies, and utility providers.
• Attend internal and client‑facing project meetings and provide project updates, milestones, and progress reporting.
• Maintain accurate job data in project tracking systems, ensuring documentation completeness.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2‑year technical degree OR equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1–3 years of construction experience.
• 1–3 years of direct telecommunications construction experience preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience managing contractor construction crews preferred.
• Knowledge of OSP construction techniques (aerial & underground).
• Familiarity with test equipment and processes, including:
• Grounding & bonding testing, RF sweep, OTDR, Optical power meter, PIM testing (preferred)
• Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field (preferred).
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Strong project management skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, problem‑solving environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• PMP certification a plus.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $39.00 per hour
