Work SettingThis position primarily involves working on‑site at the project location or in the office. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on the role and project timeline.
Job RoleThe Project Safety Manager supports the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, generating weekly Total Case Incident Reports, leading incident and injury investigations, supporting weekly toolbox safety meetings, and monitoring and auditing CEI/Subcontractor compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project safety requirements.
QualificationsSeasoned, OSHA 30‑certified Safety professional with extensive construction safety experience. Must have strong understanding of electrical industry consensus standards (NFPA, NESC, ASTM, ANSI). Strong communication skills and ability to influence behaviors. Excited to contribute to a safety‑focused organization.
Benefits / TrainingOpportunity to support and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, co‑facilitate safety trainings and testing for all employees, assist the Project Leadership Team in weekly safety meetings, and engage with field personnel to develop project‑specific plans. Experience in Safety First culture.
General Work Environment- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work conducted indoor office and outdoor construction jobsite settings. Environmental conditions vary.
- Occasional work at heights, in confined space, lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Other duties may be assigned based on role.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) preferred or similar fields. - Licensure/
Certifications:
OSHA 30 Construction required. CPR/FA Certified (Trainer Preferred). Must obtain BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months. - Experience:
3‑5 years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred). - Driving Record:
Valid state‑issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred.
