Acting as an onsite safety liaison with primary focus in construction and fire safety
Incumbent(s) will conduct job site inspections to monitor conformance with construction and fire safety standards and coordinate with the project management team to help improve safety on the jobsite. They inspect the site to determine if conditions meet the required Federal, state and local standards and document any unsafe conditions. They provide comprehensive accident investigations that include interview, photographs and written report.
They coordinate with client and participate in loss control inspections with insurance brokers and/or carrier representatives and accompany all regulatory officials on site inspections. They coordinate onsite safety meetings and appropriate tool box talks. They perform new worker orientations. May supervise onsite staff.
Required: Minimum 6 years experience in engineering or safety and health consulting. Registration or designation in one or more of the following technical areas:
Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional or Professional Engineer. Prior experience in profit and loss management for consulting.
Preferred: BCSP Certified, OSHA 500
