Construction Estimator - Arizona

Job Description

Finesse is looking for an experienced construction estimator able to do fire and water loss estimates along with supplementals on existing projects. You will also need to seek out and be awarded bids for the company. Candidate must be proficient with the estimating program Xactimate. You will qualify for bonuses on any job that you procure. Your bonus will be paid off of the profits retained on the job.

This person needs to be self‑motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. This job is a 1099 paid position.

• Must be well‑organized and reliable.
• Analyze drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
• Great attention to detail by providing clear, detailed quantity take‑offs.
• Assembly of accurate, well‑organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
  • This may mean that you will have to go to the site and obtain information.
• Organize sub‑contractors' quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract.
• Must be able to handle Wind, Fire, Water & Hail Insurance Claims.
• Must be proficient in Xactimate with at least 3 years of experience.
• Complete budgeting and scheduling for projects.
• Maintain relationships with sub‑contractors and clients.
• Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project.
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing.
• Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Help manage projects if the workload dictates.
• Travel to the job site to collect info for your bid.

• Previous experience estimating projects into the $1 million range.
• Experience with Xactimate estimating software.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in the construction field in a similar or related position.
• Must have a good working computer as well as cell phone.

• Ability to work at home and in the field in a fast‑paced environment with variable working hours.
