Indirects Superintendent

Job Summary

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.

• Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
• Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
• Participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations.

• Determines workforce requirements.
• Coordinates established area operational plans.
• Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients' resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.
• Supervises the development of construction drawings and sketches.

• Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
• Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
• Ensures the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.

• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
• Oversees the preparation of testing processes and required test equipment.

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8
  -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

• Knowledge and experience working on a large multi-discipline construction Project.
• Knowledge of all around construction site layout - office arrangements, parking lots, fencing, break trailers/facilities, laydown area development, delivery logistics, and good organization skills.
• Knowledge of the Supervisory functions relating to field activities on large construction projects.
• Experience working with, supervising, and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire Union workforce.
• Computer literate to allow functioning within standard application programs, i.e.
  
  - Office 365.
• Demonstrated field leadership abilities, setting expectations, and following through to completion.
• Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working at heights, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.
• Some lifting may be required, nothing over 50lbs.
• Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
• Must be able to use the appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, flash protection, etc.).
