Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to work at a facility in Chandler, AZ.
Job SummaryAssist the clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This role involves a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations that range in complexity and skill, with ample opportunity for learning and growth. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
- Communicate effectively within the practice, providing valuable information and support to patients and colleagues.
- Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for the dentist, suctioning, and passing instruments.
- Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing them on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
- Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
- Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Assist the dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Protect patient confidentiality and maintain information security.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols and maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required
Education:
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands‑on experience as a Dental Assistant. - Required Certifications & Licensure: CPR card and a Certified Dental Assistant certificate (DANB).
