As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities include preparing and setting up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization. You will assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment. You will update patient health history and chart treatment progress. If certified, you will expose and develop radiographs. You will educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care. Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.

Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations. Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA and OSHA. Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should be detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort. Preferred education includes an associate's degree or certification in Dental Assisting. Preferred licensure includes Certified Dental Assistant.
