Our Orthodontic Assistants get  toworkhands onwith the doctors,inprovidingexceptionalcare for our patients.

• Assist doctors in all dental procedures andorthotreatments
• Sterilize,disinfect,and prepare instruments andequipmentfor patient treatment
• Check all patientdentalappliances prior toadjustmentand remove if necessary
• Assist with bonding, banding,debonding,and coronal polishing procedures
• Assistin adjustments including wire changes,tie changes, placing separators,andbitestops
• Complete x-raysandintra-oral pictures of patients in an efficient and timely manner
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare as directed by thedoctor
• Present treatment to patients based on Doctor recommendations
• Record patient charting and all the doctor’s notes in the digital patient chart as directed
• Maintain inventory and supplies
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, and Risaspolicies and practices)
• Anyadditionalduties andresponsibilitiesasassigned

• Bilingual in Spanish/English
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Dental Assisting Certificate preferred
• X-ray certification orability to obtain within 3months ofhire
• Coronal polish certification preferred
• 1-2years' experience as an Orthodontic Assistant preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must have asuperior knowledge of dental clinical operationsandterminology
• Ability toanticipatethe needs of the doctor and patients
• Must haveawarmfriendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment and lend support, as a team player,to teammates as needed.
