Project Overview:

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); data centre, electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); and life sciences markets.

Job Summary:

IIn this role, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project's architectural aspects.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy for full-time employees and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for delivering architectural solutions for mission-critical data center facilities, advanced manufacturing facilities, and support buildings
  • Coordinates and interfaces with the day-to-day technical work of personnel
  • Supports preparation of job hour estimates, staffing needs and schedules
  • Leads architectural detailing, specifications, and construction documentation. Provides the technical input to meet design, engineering, procurement and construction requirements for fast-track delivery
  • Prepares and oversees the preparation of architectural documents and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of architectural aspects ofthe work
  • Provides architectural oversight for vendor-supplied equipment and prefabricated building systems
  • Reviews and approves supplier drawings and data, material specifications,drawings, and change orders, for the assigned project

    Mentors architectural personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development
  • Contributes to LEED or equivalent sustainability certification efforts where required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of experience working on mission critical data centers or 15+ years of relevant work experience
  • Licensed architect registered to practice architecture in at least one US jurisdiction and having the ability to obtain reciprocal license in other states.
  • Active LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credential preferred.
