Job goal:
The primary goal of the program is to prepare students for careers in healthcare by providing rigorous, hands-on instruction in medical knowledge, patient care skills, and professional ethics that align with industry standards. The teacher fosters critical thinking, safety, and employability through real-world learning experiences, certifications, and participation in health science.
Minimum qualifications:
* bachelor's/master's degree

* az ivp fingerprint clearance card
* appropriately certified
* the individual must meet the following qualifications per the az state board of nursing:
* hold a current, registered nurse license that is active and in good standing under a.r.s. Title 32, chapter 15, and provide documentation of a minimum of one year full-time or 1500 hours of employment providing direct care as a registered nurse in any setting.
At minimum, one of the following:
* successful completion of a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary education institution
* completion of 40 hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that was awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization
* one year of full-time or 1500 hours of experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator
* one year or 1500 hours of experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of experience required in subsection (c)(1)(a).

* communicates learning goals to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
* prepare and deliver instruction appropriate to the student population, including curriculum that addresses learning styles, abilities, interests, behavior problems, and students with special needs
* create lesson plans describing daily learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and state and district standards
* use available technology to enhance learning
* use district and state assessment data to improve instruction and place students in appropriate instructional and intervention programs
* facilitate instruction based on current research-based best practices
* effectively implement individual education plans
* establish classroom routines to promote a positive environment conducive to effective instruction
* participate in team reviews concerning the academic progress of low-performing students
* document and resolve issues related to student behavior problems and attendance
* reflect on teaching and strive to improve professional competence
* assume legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities
* take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
* maintain accurate, complete, legible, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
* participate inthe intervention process at sites
* participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences
* participate in school and district initiatives
* assume individual responsibilities which may be assigned by the principal/supervisor and which may relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision, or other planning and professional assignments
* meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the district or school site
