Chandler-Gilbert Community College invites applications for a Residential Faculty position in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning within the Physical Sciences and Engineering Division, which includes AIM, Astronomy, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, and Geosciences.
This district-funded position is projected to transition into a permanent, full-time faculty role after August 2028.
The selected candidate will:
- Teach in multiple instructional modalities primarily AIM courses and Bachelor-level courses depending on background and qualifications.
- Support and mentor adjunct and dual enrollment faculty
- Apply active learning strategies and integrate instructional technologies
- Provide leadership on division and college initiatives
- Serve on college and district committees
- Co-chair an industry advisory council
- Engage in ongoing professional development

Essential Functions
Supervises and instructs a diverse population of students, including students in high school bridge programs, in a classroom and/or lab setting, online or hybrid, accelerated, and/or other alternative schedules and formats; uses active learning strategies to engage students in learning and promotes student success; facilitates student learning, retention, and achievement; incorporates instructional technology and employs alternative delivery or scheduling techniques where appropriate.
