Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher responsible for delivering individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a school setting. Works a 36-week contract in Chandler, Arizona, earning up to $57 per hour based on experience. Focuses on improving academic outcomes and supporting inclusive classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Deliver engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate accommodations
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state regulations
- Participate in professional development and training sessions
- Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment
- Adapt schedules and activities to meet student and school needs
- Conduct assessments and report findings to administrators
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification
- Special Education certification and state license
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching special education or related field
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a school setting
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical stamina for daily classroom activities
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule needs
