East Valley School of Music (EVSM) - the premier music school in the East Valley - is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Violin Instructor to join our team at our 16 studio facility in Chandler (4835 S. Arizona Ave., Chandler 85248).

Right now, we have an opening for any weekday or Saturday. You need to be available to teach approximately 3:00-8:00 PM on weekdays (or 10:00-4:00 PM on Saturdays). At this time, we have a particular need for an instructor available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

In addition to teaching at our facility, in home lessons starting at $40/hour are also available upon hiring for instructors interested in expanding their schedule.

We're looking for a teacher who loves sharing the joy of music, values strong foundations, and enjoys working with motivated students in a supportive, organized school environment.

EVSM has served over 2,700 families since 2006 and offers private lessons in piano, guitar, voice, strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. Our 4,800 sq ft building features 16 teaching rooms and a dedicated performance hall - a comfortable, organized environment where teachers are valued.

We hire instructors as independent contractors , not employees.

Music degree strongly preferred. Ability to read music proficiently.
Must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
Must have a resume and 1 letter of recommendation from a school, teaching studio, or colleague.
Must be a U.S. citizen. We cannot hire instructors with temporary work visas.

Responsibilities

Teach individual violin lessons, primarily to students ages 7-17
Provide instruction in music reading, technique, theory, and performance skills
Use curriculum while customizing lessons to each student's needs
Follow school policies and collaborate with our teaching team
Optional: teach group classes (not required)

Qualifications

Music degree strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Must read music proficiently
Must be a U.S. citizen (we cannot hire temporary visa holders)
