Classroom Instructional Health Aide Moderate To Severe Disabilities (ABLE)
Chandler Unified School District is seeking a Classroom Instructional Health Aide for moderate to severe disabilities. The role involves providing instructional support under the supervision of the special education teacher in a special education environment or as required by an individualized education plan (IEP); and providing support to students with moderate to severe cognitive and/or physical needs in a specialized classroom.
The job goal is to provide instructional support and assist students with personal care needs due to severe medical conditions and/or physical limitations. The position also requires implementing behavioral plans, assisting with emergency rescue medications, and maintaining a quiet and orderly classroom environment.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, an Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited university, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.
Core job functions involve instructing students, translating for parents and staff, assisting with personal care needs, implementing behavioral plans, and administering first aid and medical assistance.
