JOB TITLE:

COORDINATOR OF FEDERAL PROGRAMS

SALARY:

GRADE 125 (SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL)

CALENDAR:2611 (12 MONTH)

Job Goal:

Coordinate all aspects of Title I and Federal programming and facilitate the effective implementation, evaluation, compliance and fiscal management of federal programs, and support district instructional technology, strategic intervention frameworks including Response to Intervention, and instructional programs for English language learners

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree with emphasis in educational administration or related field preferred
  • Administrative certification preferred
  • Two years’ experience in federal program administration, curriculum, or a related educational leadership role
  • Experience developing and implementing a curriculum program in a K-12 educational environment
  • Successful administrative experience
  • Knowledge of Arizona standards

Core

Job Functions:

  • Establish positive relationships with community agencies that support student achievement
  • Develop, evaluate and analyze federal projects (ESEA Title I, II, III, VII, Johnson O’Malley) as related to student achievement
  • Assist district administration in planning the use of funds available to the schools through the various federal programs
  • Assist in developing budget recommendations concerning federal projects
  • Inform, interpret, and recommend to district administration the effects of current and pending federal legislation
  • Coordinate the development of projects to meet the needs of Title I, ELL, homeless, migrant, and refugee students
  • Facilitate the development of applications and reports to federal and state educational agencies to ensure compliance for funding
  • Keep abreast of and inform district administration of changes in rules and regulations of the
  • Arizona State Board of Education and state and federal laws concerning areas of responsibility
  • Make presentations on federal programs for parents, school staff and outside agencies
  • Assist in the coordination and training of department personnel as it relates to grants, budgets, and spending
  • Ensure advisory councils, task forces and/or implementation teams as required by the grants are implemented
  • Develop and coordinate advisory councils, task forces and/or implementation teams
  • Work with other agencies to identify and create programs that support student achievement
  • Maintain positive relationships and communication with schools and departments, City of Chandler and other agencies
  • Consult with administrators, principals, teachers and staff to define instructional technology needs, effectiveness, productivity and resources
  • Model and support the effective integration of technology in the classroom
