Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Roadway Project Manager to lead complex roadway design and transportation projects for state and local agencies in Arizona.
This role offers the opportunity to shape infrastructure that directly improves mobility, safety, and sustainability in our communities.
As a senior leader, you'll oversee project teams, manage client relationships, and deliver roadway studies, preliminary engineering, and final design plans. You will serve as the primary client-facing representative, drive business development, and provide strategic input into major transportation initiatives.

- This is a massive project: a 12-mile long project featuring 5 interchanges, including a diamond interchange, with a total project value of $180 million.
- Project Duration: 2 years

- Lead roadway projects from concept through delivery, including studies, alignment analysis, and final design.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and subconsultants.
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and project integration to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Act as the primary client and public liaison, representing the project at meetings, presentations, and hearings.
- Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, building client relationships, and pursuing new opportunities.
- Mentor junior staff, conduct peer reviews, and ensure technical accuracy across deliverables.
- Drive revenue goals with expectations of $500K in project revenue in year 1 and $1M in year 2
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- REQUIRED:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona (or ability to obtain quickly). - 12+ years of roadway design and transportation project experience.
- Strong project management expertise with a track record of leading successful roadway projects.
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D; 3D modeling experience a plus.
- Knowledge of storm drain design, utility relocations, and traffic design highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead client meetings and public forums.
- Proven business development abilities and experience writing proposals.
