Job Purpose
The experienced SIPI engineer will be in charge of creating and analysing novel System-in-Package designs as well as delivering robust design methodologies and silicon/platform electrical integrity solution spaces. Innovative power delivery techniques and interfaces will be key in emerging technologies as advanced packaging grows in industry importance. The engineer will design or supervise package designs and run specific packaging analysis tools, playing a technical lead role as senior engineers are expected to do.
EssentialSkills & Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- 5 or more years of experience in system-level signal integrity with focus on interfaces’ impact on systems
- Proficiency with SIPI analysis environments (Ansys suite, Cadence, or other)
- Deep understanding of multi-port matrices (S, Y, Z parameters)
- Good grasp of electromagnetic extraction methodologies and their limitations
- Understanding of package drawing to drive design engineers and perform occasional drawing modifications
- Ability to provide technical direction to sub-work groups and influence product/platform roadmap decisions
- Development of pre-layout platform design guidelines for SI/PI interfaces
- Good understanding of SoC implementations and models (IBIS models, power models, impedance profiles of power delivery networks)
- Experience in system-level power integrity with focus on package-level PI trade-offs
- Experience across complete package design flow from ball-map stage to final tape-out, including all setup steps
- Knowledge of packaging manufacturing steps and their constraints
- Experience with advanced packaging (2.5D, 3D)
- Knowledge of Linux environment and scripting (Python, Skill, etc.)
- Ability to mentor other SIPI engineers
- Proficient in English with strong oral and written communication
- Self-motivated and eager to take on new challenges
- Prepared to collaborate with worldwide teams seamlessly

- Competitive salary range: $198,100 – $268,000 per year
