About This Role
Senior Sourcing Specialist – Fully Remote with up to 15% domestic travel.
Energy Link, a Quanta company, is seeking a results-driven Senior Sourcing Specialist with deep experience sourcing materials for Transmission, Substation, and Distribution infrastructure projects.
In this role, you’ll own the full sourcing lifecycle for critical T&D components—such as transformers, switch gear, breakers, relays, structural steel, conductor, cable, and substation equipment—supporting large-scale builds. You’ll lead complex bids and RFPs, drive competitive sourcing strategies, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate cost-effective, high-value agreements with top-tier, industry-leading suppliers.
What You'll Do- Lead and manage large material and equipment bids for T&D EPC projects.
- Review RFPs and engineering designs to define scope, identify gaps, and document requirements (e.g., MBE/WBE, Buy American).
- Validate materials and quantities, prepare and issue bid packages.
- Build bidder lists, solicit pre-qualification info, and manage vendor proposals.
- Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and present vendor recommendations.
- Ensure accurate material estimates and timely project delivery.
- Mentor junior and mid-level Sourcing Specialists.
- Support special projects and other duties as needed.
- 3–10+ years in sourcing or procurement for power generation, electric utility, or EPC projects.
- Expertise in vendor management, RFPs, tender evaluation, commercial risk analysis, contract review, and pricing negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of T&D materials (overhead/underground) and substation equipment (breakers, capacitor banks, etc.).
- Experience in EPC project procurement, material sourcing, or estimating preferred.
- Established utility vendor/manufacturer relationships a plus.
- Self-starter with excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management.
- Able to manage multiple projects and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
