Our Manufacturing Development and Customer Engineering (MDCE) organization is at the forefront of this transformation, focusing on yield improvement, performance optimization, and exceptional customer service delivery. We are seeking a Customer Device Engineer to join our Customer Engineering team within MDCE.
This role is critical to Intel’s foundry success, serving as the bridge between our advanced manufacturing capabilities and customer needs. You’ll work directly with foundry customers to ensure seamless technology integration while maintaining Intel’s reputation for excellence.
- Coordinate cross‑functional device engineering teams to deliver silicon manufacturing solutions aligned with Intel’s PDK specifications.
- Manage change processes within device engineering and ensure timely customer reporting.
- Collaborate with technology development teams to meet milestones and support customers throughout development cycles.
- Guide customers through early project phases and technology adoption.
- Develop innovative solutions across multifunctional teams beyond traditional device applications.
- Foster strong customer relationships throughout product life cycles.
- Leverage Intel’s extensive manufacturing capabilities to drive customer success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM major.
- 4+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including:
- Analytical skills (data query, cleaning/sanity check, preparation, data analysis/statistical methods, visualization, drawing conclusions).
- Experience in a wafer fab environment, device and yield analysis tools, and understanding of process impacts on devices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree with 1+ years of experience in 300mm startup and ramp of advanced logic process technologies.
- Experience with an entire foundry technology cycle and semiconductor devices beyond digital applications.
- Proficiency with computer tools for semiconductors, process engineering knowledge, process control, device knowledge, and materials analysis techniques.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects at module level to improve process reliability, yield, and cost effectiveness.
