Our customer is looking for an Engineer Design Checker to support their Mechanical & Energetics department. This position will serve on-site at Chandler, Arizona.

• Work within the customer's Design/Drafting group and check drawing/design packages for proper content and ensure compliance with applicable industry and military standards.
• Check designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication, including tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and fitment on assembly prints.
• Resolve interpretation issues on drawings as an expert in GD&T.
• Verify 3D models submitted to manufacturing utilizing Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
• Act as liaison with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, Quality, and vendor partners.
• Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter and create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards.
• Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities.
• Perform mechanical modeling using NX with Teamcenter.
• Create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards.
• May supervise and direct the activities of staff as requested.
• Perform related duties as assigned or required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, NX and Teamcenter.
• Possess good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Work quickly and accurately under schedule pressure while exhibiting patience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
