Indotronix is seeking an :
Structural Bay Engineering Technician 2, Chandler, AZ
Work Schedule: 9x80 A
Security Clearance Required? No
High school diploma or equivalent
Job Summary:
Provides hands-on technical support in a structural test environment, assisting in the development, assembly, testing, and documentation of hardware for launch vehicle programs. Works closely with engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality and safe execution of test activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development, build, testing, and documentation of structural test hardware
- Assist in assembling fixtures and setting up test configurations
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Perform hands-on mechanical work ranging from small components to large assemblies
- Record and maintain test data accurately
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians in a team environment
- Adhere to safety policies and support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards
- Respond effectively in dynamic and fast-paced testing scenarios
- Support continuous improvement and efficient use of resources
- Occasional overtime (
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of related education/experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience with engineering drawings, schematics, and data recording
- Proficient with hand tools and basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Ability to perform hands-on work and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Costpoint, or MES systems
- Experience with hydraulic systems or structural testing environments
- Forklift and crane operation experience
- Soldering and instrumentation experience (e.g., strain gages, displacement transducers)
