This Engineering Design Checker will work within the Northrop Grumman Design/Drafting group and will be responsible for checking drawing and design packages for proper content and ensuring compliance with applicable industry and military standards. Duties include checking designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication; reviewing tolerance analysis, hardware selection and fitment on assembly prints; resolving GD&T interpretation issues; verifying 3D models submitted to manufacturing using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter;

liaising with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality; and vendor liaison as required.

Additional Responsibilities

Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter, and create or revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities to be used.
• Mechanical modeling using NX managed with Teamcenter.
• Create or revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards.
• May supervise and direct the activities of staff as requested.
• Perform related duties as assigned or required.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, NX and Teamcenter as required.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while under schedule pressure and exhibit a large degree of patience.
