Industrial Engineer

Job Summary

Analyzes operational systems, workflow and methods to improve productivity and customer satisfaction. Establishes standards that utilize facilities safely, efficiently and cost effectively.

• Develop equipment layout, workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of people and facilities.
• Identify and implement best practices across operational areas.
• Develop a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization.
• Contribute to implementation of re‑engineering and continuous improvement. Includes root cause analysis, solution set development, implementation and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate layout and the move process for building moves and equipment installation and removal.
• Develop or contribute to operational performance metrics reports.
• Identify, investigate, and participate in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.
• Develops solutions to defined tasks, typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge, using existing approaches and solutions.
• Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.
• Actions typically affect own work assignments and department. Erroneous decisions or failure to accomplish work may require some assistance or resources to remedy.

• Typically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

• Knowledge of data analytics tools such as PowerBI and SQL.
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Labor Management Systems is highly desirable.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
