Job Summary
Analyzes operational systems, workflow and methods to improve productivity and customer satisfaction. Establishes standards that utilize facilities safely, efficiently and cost effectively.
Principal Responsibilities- Develop equipment layout, workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of people and facilities.
- Identify and implement best practices across operational areas.
- Develop a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization.
- Contribute to implementation of re‑engineering and continuous improvement. Includes root cause analysis, solution set development, implementation and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate layout and the move process for building moves and equipment installation and removal.
- Develop or contribute to operational performance metrics reports.
- Identify, investigate, and participate in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.
- Develops solutions to defined tasks, typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge, using existing approaches and solutions.
- Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.
- Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.
- Actions typically affect own work assignments and department. Erroneous decisions or failure to accomplish work may require some assistance or resources to remedy.
- Typically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools such as PowerBI and SQL.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Labor Management Systems is highly desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
