Pipe Stress Engineer
Jacobs is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to execute engineering tasks for industrial and commercial facilities. In this role you will manage project schedule, ensure technical quality, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering projects.
- Perform pipe stress analysis and support design.
- Use AutoPIPE and Caesar II for pipe stress analysis.
- Apply finite element analysis tools such as FE‑Pipe and Nozzle Pro.
- Interpret and apply piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
- Communicate progress and findings verbally and in written reports.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in pipe stress analysis and support design.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Proficiency in pipe stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE and Caesar II.
- Proficiency with finite element analysis (FEA) and associated software such as FE‑Pipe and Nozzle Pro.
- Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Advanced experience with AutoPIPE.
- Knowledge of plastic pipe design and analysis.
- Experience with design tools such as Navisworks and AutoCAD.
- Forward‑thinking mindset and eagerness to learn best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and broaden knowledge base.
- Team collaboration skills within multi‑disciplinary settings.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $. Pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and education or training.
