Role Overview:
An opportunity is available for an Engineer Design Checker to support a Mechanical and Energetics department. This role involves working within a design and drafting group to check drawing and design packages for proper content and compliance with applicable industry and military standards. The position is based on-site in Chandler, Arizona.

• Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel to verify completed work, checking dimensions, materials, and quantities.
• Check designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication, including tolerance analysis and hardware selection.
• Verify 3D models submitted to manufacturing using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
• Serve as an expert in GD&T to resolve interpretation issues on drawings.
• Create and revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards.
• Model fully defined components and assemblies using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
• Liaise with engineering disciplines, manufacturing, quality, and some vendors as required.
• May supervise and direct the activities of staff as requested.

Technical

Skills:

Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter is required.

Experience: Experience with mechanical modeling and creating/revising parametric drawings is necessary.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately under schedule pressure.
• Developed time management and organizational skills.
