Mission Hires is seeking an onsite NX Mechanical Engineer in Chandler, AZ for a 6-month contract-to-direct-hire role supporting missile system products. You will perform mechanical CAD design (Siemens NX), structural/mechanical analysis and testing, apply GD&T, develop and manage test programs, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders. US citizenship is required. Pay: $45–$65/hr W2.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical CAD design using Siemens NX for complex structural components and functional systems of missile products
- Execute mechanical and structural analyses using advanced engineering and product design tools
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturable, robust designs
- Adapt and improve heritage design features from prior successful programs
- Develop test programs for materials, structural components, and system elements
- Manage test activities and test article fabrication, including planning, execution, and documentation
- Produce clear written reports and deliver presentations on project status and analysis/test results to internal and external customers
- Contribute creative solutions and seek innovative approaches to meet program objectives
- Support full engineering lifecycle tasks including design, development, analysis, and testing
- US Citizenship required
- Onsite only in Chandler, AZ (no remote)
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of related engineering experience, or Master’s in STEM with 1+ year of related engineering experience
- Proficiency with Siemens NX for mechanical CAD design
- Experience with mechanical and/or structural analysis using advanced engineering tools
- Working knowledge and application of GD&T principles
Ability to develop and manage test programs and test article fabrication - Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations
- Preferred:
Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering - Preferred:
Hands‑on mechanical integration experience, ideally in the aerospace domain
