Process Engineer
Bechtel is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering department within the Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit (M&T). The role will report to the Process Engineering Group Supervisor on project and will support discipline execution, technical coordination, and interface management for assigned semiconductor process systems. Experience with applicable industry standards and codes, accepted design practices and quality standards for Semiconductor Industry Process Systems.
MajorResponsibilities:
- Plans and conducts work requiring minimal supervision with some latitude for judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of process engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a large size project.
- Prepares work products with technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinates day-to-day technical activities for assigned process engineering scope under the direction of the Process Engineering Group Supervisor, including alignment with other execution offices, shared-work teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management.
- Contributes to work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget.
- Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of Process engineering aspects of the work.
- Provides input to and participates in special technical educational and training programs as directed.
- Evaluates subcontractors' work for conformance to design intent and schedule.
- Promotes the creation of a work environment backed by leadership that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge andSkills:
- Professional Engineering license or willingness to obtain.
- Considered skilled and proficient in discipline.
- Professional with an understanding of area of specialization, resolves a wide range of issues.
- An understanding of Semiconductor Industry Process Systems including Industrial and Specialty Gases, Bulk and Planar Chemicals, Water Purification, Waste Collection and Treatment.
- Experience supporting engineering deliverables through procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Knowledge of applicable ASME, ANSI, API, CGA, SEMI, and ISO standards.
- Ability to facilitate technical alignment across geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong client-facing communication and issue-resolution skills.
- Ability to organize priorities and manage competing deliverable deadlines.
- Ability to influence without direct authority across matrixed teams.
- Able to work in project groups with shared-work teams globally to progress project designs.
