Technical Staff Engineer-Analog Design

Job Description

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking an experienced analog design technical lead for the dsPIC Business Unit. The role involves both hands‑on IP design and mentorship of junior designers.

• Design CMOS analog circuits for dsPIC microcontroller chips, including ADCs, power management IPs (band‑gap voltage reference, LDO, buck converters), op‑amps, oscillators, PLLs, and related components.
• Perform design reviews, silicon validation, and debugging.
• Review layout with a strong understanding of floor planning, sensitive signal routing, parasitic effects, IO ESD and latchup, and silicon reliability.
• Mentor and guide junior designers.
• Collaborate with SOC, architecture, application, product & test, foundry, and CAD engineering teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12.5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years of CMOS design experience.
• Extensive Cadence design tool experience.
• Experience with hand‑on silicon testing and debugging.
• Strong ADC design experience preferred.
