Key Responsibilities- Develops and maintains customer relationships with all relevant individuals in the district at all levels, performing regular customer visits.
- Manages, coaches and directs all customer engineers in the district. Responsible for salary planning, career planning, corrective actions where necessary, establishing objectives and performance appraisals, and giving formal updates to all employees.
- Initiates reports necessary for the business and acts as the prime interface with the Product Divisions: tech support, training, spares, reliability.
- Monitors the CSD Award Program with quarterly results (election, announcements) and the “mentor” program so that all new engineers have a defined mentor.
- Executes escalation procedures.
- Responsible for account planning with the District Sales Engineer, and for providing a support plan for system sales to CSD Management, Sales, and Field Engineering. Also responsible for financial forecasting and cost efficiency in the district, measured by the financial result.
- Responsible for system installation: planning, reporting, execution, pre‑facility meeting, start‑up meeting, and process support identification.
- Manages the RMA procedure, measuring engineers on their effectiveness, managing accuracy and updates of Customer Engineer hours tracking, providing cross‑checks and signatures, and taking corrective action with customer engineers.
- Works on issues where analysis of a situation or data requires review of relevant factors.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes by which to meet those goals; recommends changes to unit or sub‑unit policies; and is reviewed by management to measure meeting of objectives.
- Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance, and administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
- Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules.
- Interaction normally requires the ability to gain the cooperation of others and to conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.
