Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to become an integral part of our team! You will assist in the research, design and development of electronic circuit boards and assemblies having analog and digital circuit elements (e.g., SMT) and functions. This is a job for someone that loves to "build stuff", is competent to design, build and test what they design, and is comfortable designing in both analog and digital domains.
High speed analog competence (i.e., RF) is not required, but is always advantageous. If you have not successfully built circuit boards, do not apply (it's understood that building/assembling a PCB is likely to involve the use of a fab).
- Develop and test electronic and photonic ICs and modules
- Produce and modify (EDA) electronic designs
- Troubleshoot circuit and system bugs
- Research and document lab testing
- Track project time lines to complete tasks on schedule
- Recommend design changes and implement them
- Previous experience in electrical engineering for design / build / test of digital and analog circuits
- Experience in using schematic capture, layout, generating a BOM, coordinating a fabricator to obtain assembled PCBs.
- Skill with electronic test equipment for mixed signal work.
- Knowledge of good laboratory practice, ESD
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Ability to prioritize work, verbalize / communicate progress and results
- US citizenship is required
