Overview We are seeking a senior-level Data Center Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise leading large-scale data center design, engineering, and infrastructure initiatives from concept through deployment. This is a highly strategic consulting role focused on advising stakeholders, developing infrastructure solutions, and driving end-to-end data center projects—not performing day-to-day maintenance or operational support.
The ideal candidate has experience serving as a technical SME, consultant, solution architect, or engineering lead for enterprise or hyperscale data center projects, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical infrastructure, modern cooling technologies, and overall facility design.
Must-Have Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Center Infrastructure Engineering
, Data Center Design, or Infrastructure Consulting.
  • Proven experience leading greenfield or brownfield data center buildouts from planning through implementation.
  • Strong background designing electrical and mechanical infrastructure for enterprise or hyperscale data centers.
  • Experience serving as a technical consultant, solution architect, engineering lead, or infrastructure SME rather than performing hands‑on maintenance.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Electrical distribution systems
    • UPS systems
    • Backup generators
    • Switchgear
    • Power redundancy (N+1, 2N)
    • Mechanical infrastructure
    • HVAC
    • Chilled water systems
    • CRAC/CRAH units
  • Experience designing or implementing liquid cooling solutions for high-density computing environments.
  • Ability to develop infrastructure strategies, engineering recommendations, and executive‑level presentations.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams including facilities, construction, vendors, architects, and executive leadership.
  • Strong understanding of data center capacity planning, resiliency, scalability, and future‑state architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale cloud, AI, HPC, or large enterprise data center environments.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including Uptime Institute Tier Standards, TIA-942, ASHRAE, NFPA, and related data center design standards.
  • Experience evaluating emerging cooling technologies and modern infrastructure designs.
  • Experience working with construction firms, engineering consultants, or mission‑critical facility projects.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and engineering strategy for enterprise data center infrastructure initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor for large-scale data center construction and modernization projects.
  • Develop electrical and mechanical infrastructure solutions supporting high-availability environments.
  • Design infrastructure supporting next‑generation workloads including AI, GPU, and high-density computing.
  • Evaluate and recommend modern cooling strategies, including liquid cooling implementations.
  • Partner with construction teams, engineering firms, architects, and executive stakeholders throughout project life cycles.
  • Review engineering designs, validate technical decisions, and provide infrastructure recommendations.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery from concept, planning, design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, and handoff.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives.
  • Develop long‑term infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business growth and technology strategy.
