Basic Job Purpose:
The Manufacturing Engineering Assistant will provide essential support to the manufacturing engineering team, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process Documentation:
Assist in creating and maintaining detailed process documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality control plans. - Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. - Problem Solving:
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions. - Project Support:
Provide administrative support for engineering projects, including scheduling, documentation, and tracking progress. - Continuous Improvement:
Participate in initiatives to identify and implement process improvements, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
Assignment of Functions and Responsibilities:
- Identify high risk production operations and developing manufacturing fixtures and aids
- Develop standard operating procedures to regulate processes
- Participate in CCB, Design Review, RCCA, and initial release efforts
- Manage and prioritize workload of tasks to maintain on time delivery to customers
- Assist with ERP management
- Other efforts required by the organization
- Must be a US Citizen
- >2 years' experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong aptitude in BOMs and methods of mfg.
- Highly proficient with excel, word, projects. ppt
- Interpret drawings IAW ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5
- Proficient at creating fixtures and WIs
- Expert in Epicor
- Certified Solid Works Associate/Professional
- GD&T training certification
- Experience with DoD product development
- Experience with composite materials
- Highly experience with excel, word, projects. ppt
