We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to support an Owner's Engineer team on an ongoing project. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing project schedules across complex engineering, procurement, and construction scopes.

The successful candidate will be more than a scheduling specialist. They will serve as a trusted advisor to the Owner and the project management team, helping drive execution strategy, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting informed decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, the individual will lead the development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of integrated cost and resource‑loaded schedules in Primavera P6 and will act as the owner of the Program Master Schedule. The position supports program controls, progress and performance management, contractor oversight, interface coordination, and executive decision‑making across the program.

This position is ideal for an experienced planning professional with a strong understanding of project delivery, construction methodologies, and project controls within the hydropower, power generation, energy, mining, industrial, transmission, renewable energy, or major infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Own, develop, and maintain the Program Master Schedule in Primavera P6 in coordination with the program team.
  • Lead the development of integrated project schedules from concept through execution and project closeout.
  • Develop and integrate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Establish schedule logic, critical paths, milestones, constraints, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of integrated baseline schedules aligned with program controls requirements, ensuring integration of scope, cost, progress measurement, and reporting structures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering leads, procurement teams, construction managers, contractors, and the Owner to develop realistic and achievable project plans.
  • Validate project execution strategies and ensure schedules accurately reflect project scope and delivery requirements.
  • Establish and maintain baseline schedules and the schedule management plan.
Contractor Oversight and Interface Coordination
  • Produce and report cost and resource‑loaded work schedules that coordinate interfaces across multiple contractors and third parties.
  • Provide technical support and oversight to contractors, including validation of scheduling methodologies, resource and cost loading, activity durations, logic, float, and critical path.
  • Analyze contractor schedules to ensure alignment with contractual milestones, predict completion dates, and confirm that reported progress is accurately reflected.
  • Identify schedule deficiencies such as logic gaps, unrealistic sequencing, excessive durations, and other conditions that compromise reporting and forecast reliability.
  • Confirm contractor schedule submittals comply with the project's Owner's Requirements for scheduling, including software settings, coding structure, Work Breakdown Structure, and submittal format.
  • Maintain schedule integrity across the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning interfaces between contractors and the Owner.
Schedule Analysis and Controls
  • Maintain and update project schedules based on actual progress and forecast information.
  • Perform critical path, longest path, float, productivity, and schedule performance analyses.
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities, and recommend mitigation or recovery strategies.
