Position: Full-Time | Onsite
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support a major semiconductor fabrication facility construction project in Chandler, Arizona.
This is a true electrical construction leadership position
. We are looking for someone who has spent their career managing significant electrical scopes—not a general Project Manager who has simply had exposure to electrical construction.
The position is focused on semiconductor base build construction
, including site-wide electrical infrastructure, fab and subfab areas, utility buildings, electrical rooms, substations, distribution systems, temporary power, energization, commissioning, and turnover.
- Manage major electrical construction packages from design coordination through installation, energization, commissioning, and turnover
. - Provide technical and construction oversight for medium- and low-voltage electrical infrastructure.
- Coordinate substations, switch gear, transformers, electrical rooms, feeders, grounding systems, duct banks, distribution systems, and temporary power
. - Review electrical drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.
- Identify constructability, routing, sequencing, installation, and system-integration issues before they impact field execution.
- Coordinate electrical construction across fab, subfab, utility, support, and site infrastructure areas
. - Work closely with electrical contractors, general contractors, engineering, CSA, mechanical, process, BIM/VDC, QA/QC, commissioning, and project controls.
- Participate in 3D model reviews, clash detection, constructability reviews, and installation planning.
- Review scopes of work and RFPs and assist with contractor bid evaluations and technical scope reviews.
- Monitor electrical construction progress and identify schedule constraints, field issues, and system-readiness concerns.
- Support electrical system energization, startup, commissioning, turnover, and final acceptance
. - Coordinate base build electrical infrastructure with downstream facility, process, and tool-install requirements.
- Maintain compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, project safety requirements, and applicable electrical standards.
- 7+ years of electrical construction experience supporting large industrial, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or mission-critical projects.
- Proven experience managing large electrical construction packages
. - Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution.
- Experience with substations, switch gear, transformers, electrical rooms, feeders, grounding and bonding, and underground electrical/duct banks.
- Experience with emergency/standby power and temporary construction power.
- Strong field construction and electrical constructability knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, equipment layouts, and BIM models
. - Experience managing RFIs, submittals, design changes, contractor documentation, and field coordination.
- Proven ability to coordinate electrical contractors, engineers, vendors, commissioning teams, and other project stakeholders.
- Experience supporting electrical energization and commissioning
. - Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and electrical safety requirements.
- Direct semiconductor fab base build construction experience.
- Experience with fab/subfab construction and site-wide electrical infrastructure.
- Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Superintendent, or Electrical Area Manager
. - 10+ years of progressively responsible electrical construction experience.
- Background with a major electrical contractor, GC, Owner, EPC, or EPCM organization supporting semiconductor construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
If you've managed the electrical scope of a semiconductor fab base build and can speak confidently about substations, MV/LV distribution, switch gear, transformers, energization, commissioning, and coordinating electrical construction through a highly congested fab environment,
this is the background we're looking for.
