About the Company
We're looking for a high-impact Director of Strategic Finance to serve as a trusted analytical partner to the C-Suite and senior leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations — with direct executive exposure and a meaningful seat at the table on decisions that shape the direction of the business.
About the RoleReporting to the VP of FP&A, you'll drive financial modeling, M&A analysis, performance diagnostics, and board-level reporting across a large, multi-location network. You'll have direct C‑Suite access and genuine influence over strategic decisions — not a back‑office support function. If you thrive on complexity, move fast, and want your work to matter at the highest levels of an organization, this role is built for you.
Responsibilities- Mergers & Acquisitions: Build financial models to evaluate acquisition targets, support due diligence, run valuation and scenario analyses, and track integration performance post‑close.
- Operational Performance: Analyze location‑level financials using metrics like gross profit per unit, revenue per unit, inventory turns, service labor utilization, and expense ratios. Help leadership diagnose underperforming areas and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strategic Initiatives: Provide financial and analytical support for high‑priority projects led by the C‑Suite, including cross‑functional work spanning operations, finance, HR, and business development.
- Executive & Board Reporting: Develop polished, insight‑driven materials for leadership meetings and board presentations — translating complex data into clear, decision‑ready narratives.
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; an MBA or master's degree is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, strategy consulting, or corporate development.
- You're comfortable owning complex financial models end-to-end and presenting findings directly to senior executives.
- Experience in multi-location retail environments.
- Expert in Excel financial modeling, highly proficient in PowerPoint, and experienced with BI/data visualization tools like Power BI.
$150,000 to $200,000 plus bonus and equity.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where everyone is welcomed, valued, and respected.
