Construction Finance Analyst
JSG is recruiting a Construction Finance Analyst for a client in Chandler, AZ. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and cost management within a fast-paced, innovative environment. Be a key player in managing large-scale construction projects and helping drive financial success at every stage. Pay $48/hour to $60/hour depending on experience.
What You'll Do:- Prepare and issue monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for capital construction projects
- Manage and control project budgets and spends at the work breakdown schedule (WBS) level
- Develop WBS codes and ensure scope alignment across projects
- Review purchase requisitions, change orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding
- Oversee contractor buyouts, bid packages, and change order validation
- Lead regular cost meetings with contractors and engineering teams to align on budgets and change orders
- Conduct variance analyses and drive forecast accuracy
- Perform risk and opportunity assessments, along with ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and reporting standards
- Bachelor's degree in finance, quantity surveying, construction management, business analytics, or a related field
- 5-12 years of relevant experience in construction finance, cost management, or project planning
- Strong financial acumen, with experience developing budgets, forecasts, and cash flows
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP and PowerBI experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards (10-hour certification preferred)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle data collection and management with precision
Skills:
- Experience in semiconductor, commercial, industrial, or refinery construction projects
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with cost management software
- Experience working with contractors and managing change orders
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 5+ years of construction finance experience
- A background in high-tech or industrial project environments is a plus
