Our client, a rapidly growing CPG company, is seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting to join their team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing month end close, budgeting and forecasting for one of their largest regions. Responsibilities of the Director of Finance and Accounting:

• Oversee accounting functions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Manage the management reporting process on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Coordinate general ledger month-end close, ensuring timely completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review monthly financial results and analyze profit and loss at entity and consolidated levels.
• Streamline processes for recording journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting guidelines for all accounting activities.
• Consolidate entries and prepare roll-forwards for financial statement preparation.
• Communicate accounting issues and evolving guidance to management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on system enhancements and business requirements.
• Provide input for budget planning and monitor fiscal performance.
• Implement controls to manage business risks and maintain financial integrity.
• Assess staffing needs and foster an ethical, collaborative work environment.
• Support and guide staff accountants.
• Assist external auditors as required.

Preferred Experience for the Director of Finance and Accounting:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of experience in financial operations
• Background in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing industry
• CPA designation or MBA (a plus)
• Experience with SAP platform (a plus)

$140,000-$160,000 + bonus
