Overview
The Participant Services Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) engages clients in goals‑based conversations to provide education and guidance when they need us most. The role involves working within a contact center environment, leveraging the Bank of America and Merrill offerings, and collaborating with business partners to provide service/education to active and separated Merrill 401(k) and Equity Plan participants. The FSA sets clear expectations to create a smooth transition and continuation of the Bank of America/Merrill relationship.
Responsibilities- Works with clients to plan their short‑ and long‑term financial goals by building a financial plan with brokerage products, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and banking and money‑managed solutions.
- Recommends banking and investment strategies that align with client financial goals and needs.
- Triages client requests and makes referrals to appropriate internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds.
- Mitigates and controls risk as part of daily activities.
- Identifies and engages potential new clients through referrals or financial center clientele.
- Provides coaching and feedback to referral partners based on knowledge of client needs and proposed product services.
- Series 7 and 66 or equivalent (if not currently held, Series 66 must be obtained within 90 days).
- Passion for excellence and willingness to work to exceed client expectations.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of investments and financial markets and ability to apply key principles appropriately.

Regulatory RequirementsThe position requires SAFE Act registration. All employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
