The primary focus of this position will be to provide professional-level analytical, project management, and strategic support to the Mayor and Town Council while serving as a liaison between elected officials, the Town Manager's Office, Town departments, community stakeholders, and residents. This position is responsible for coordinating Council initiatives, strategic projects, and special assignments; researching and responding to constituent inquiries and Council requests;
preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for Council meetings and official functions; and tracking assignments and follow-up activities to ensure timely completion of Council priorities.
This position will oversee the coordination and logistics of Council meetings, workshops, retreats, conferences, and official events; coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for elected officials; assist in the development and implementation of administrative procedures and strategic initiatives; and monitor compliance with applicable statutory requirements, ethics standards, Open Meeting Law, and Town policies. The position also requires proactive collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders, independent analysis of complex issues, the ability to exercise sound judgment and political acumen, and the handling of confidential and politically sensitive matters with a high degree of discretion.

The starting salary for the Management Analyst is anticipated to be between $82,353 and $100,883 depending upon qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity considerations.
IMPORTANT DATES- This recruitment closes August 30th.
- First round of interviews are anticipated to take place the week of September 7th.
- Second round of interviews for finalists are anticipated to take place on September 16th.
- Expected start date is October 2026 for the successful candidate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESThe following are intended to describe core work functions of this classification. While the level and broad nature of essential duties may not change, specific work tasks will vary over time depending on the Town’s needs.
- Monitors and keeps abreast of applicable Federal, state and local laws, codes, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures related to assigned programmatic area(s); identifies proposed changes and determines impact; communicates proposed and/or approved changes; monitors and assists in ensuring Town compliance.
- Develops staff reports, presentations, resolutions and briefings to Council and other Boards/Commissions; coordinates calendars, meetings, workshops, retreats and/or events; develops agendas; and provides information to appropriate internal staff for public posting.
- Assists with the preparation of budget reports; advises departments and divisions on budget problems, policies, and procedures and assists them in the maintenance of property and budgetary controls.
- Studies complex operational and/or programmatic problems and makes recommendations on improvements; evaluates recommended changes in organization, policy and procedures and reports on the merits of the recommendations.
- Researches, analyzes and responds to inquiries and concerns; serves as liaison between residents and assigned department.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
