Position OverviewThe Family Services Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for families receiving non-medical in-home care services. This role focuses on supporting family satisfaction, coordinating non-clinical service needs, and ensuring clear communication between families and internal care teams. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a main contact for families, providing timely and professional communication
- Support family onboarding following service initiation
- Coordinate non-medical service changes, including schedules, hours, and caregiver preferences
- Address family questions, concerns, and service feedback with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with scheduling and care team staff to ensure continuity of care
- Document family interactions and updates accurately in company systems
- Proactively identify and help resolve potential service issues
- Support family retention and long-term satisfaction
- No hands-on caregiving
- No medical or clinical responsibilities
- No medication administration, or nursing duties
- Previous experience in social work, case management, family services, healthcare support, or care coordination preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and follow-up abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with basic computer systems and documentation tools
- Annual salary: $40,000–$50,000 (based on experience)
- Health insurance eligibility after 90 days of employment
- 401(k) eligibility after 12 months of employment
