Sr Medical Laboratory Assistant Internal Job

Under the direct supervision of the laboratory Supervisor, as the senior medical laboratory assistant, you support activities as directed by the laboratory supervisor. You will be joining a team of laboratory professionals in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art laboratory service. You will collaborate with members of the laboratory team to ensure the needs of patients and customers are being met. You will support pre-analytical laboratory tasks, point of care testing, and phlebotomy as assigned.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.24 - $26.90

Evening Shift

• High school diploma or GED certificate

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of clinical laboratory experience

• Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete a fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of the hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
• Requires ASCP (or equivalent) certification upon hire or obtained within six months of the hire date, if an employee is hired, rehired, or transfers after 3/17/2024.

• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Requires the ability to effectively read, write, and speak in English, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
