Position Summary

Banner Ocotillo Medical Center (Chandler, AZ) is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part‑time night shift (6:00PM–6:30AM) in the Women’s Services department. The role will work with labor and delivery, postpartum, and a Level‑II nursery environment.

Core Functions

Assess patients’ physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.

Formulate and revise individualized plans of care, including discharge plans.

Implement plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the healthcare team.

Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, adjust plans of care accordingly.

Document all assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.

Provide evidence‑based care and participate in research or quality improvement activities.

Participate in unit or facility leadership and in the education, orientation and mentoring of staff.

Contribute to society by improving patient outcomes through safe, effective, equitable care.

Supervise staff and workflow of the department when required.

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid RN license (state of practice or compact).
BLS certification.
Registered Nursing experience in L/D or postpartum (within the past 12months).
Ability to operate a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for travel positions (if applicable).
Required fingerprint clearance and criminal background checks per Arizona regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Professional nursing certification.
Additional related education or experience.

Benefits
