Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a dedicated Security Configuration Baseline Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Security Configuration Baseline Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Security and Cloud Operations department supporting enterprise-wide security initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Security Configuration Baseline Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ, Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX
What's the Job?- Design, engineer, and operationalize security configuration baselines across enterprise technology platforms.
- Translate policy requirements and industry standards into enforceable, auditable security baselines.
- Implement preventative controls, drift detection, and exception workflows within cloud security systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO.
- Maintain clear, structured, and audit-ready documentation of security configurations and processes
- Cloud technology exp 5 plus years
- Risk and Control 3 plus years
- Cloud security posture management 3 to 5 years
- Development (software) Python - - Writing scripts 2 to 4 years
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, platform security, or security engineering.
- Hands-on experience with security configuration baselines or hardening standards.
- Strong working knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP preferred).
- Experience with policy as code or guardrail frameworks and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Ability to map security controls to industry standards such as CIS, NIST, and ISO.
