Technical Architect – AWS Architecture & Terraform
Location:
Chandler, AZ
Job Function: TECHNOLOGY | Role:
Technical Architect | Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year
- Design end-to-end solutions for AWS database products via IaC using Terraform.
- Build reusable IaC modules; manage state, work spaces, remote backends, and environment promotion patterns (7+ years experience).
- Configure Terraform Enterprise (workspace design, policy-as-code, variable management, VCS-driven workflows, run governance).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines integrating Bitbucket, Jenkins, XLR, Code Pipeline, and Terraform plans/applies with quality gates and approvals.
- Architect secure, scalable, highly available AWS solutions across multi‑account and multi‑region environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS database services (RDS/Aurora, Dynamo
DB, Document
DB, Elasti Cache, Open Search) including HA/DR, performance, and cost optimization. - Design IAM least‑privilege access, roles, policies, permission boundaries, SCPs, cross‑account access, federation/SSO integration.
- Architect VPC, subnets, route tables, NAT/IGW, Transit Gateway, endpoints, Private Link, security groups, NACLs, Route 53, VPN/Direct Connect.
- Implement encryption (KMS), secrets management (Secrets Manager, Parameter Store), auditability (Cloud Trail), logging/monitoring (Cloud Watch), aligning with enterprise controls.
- Configure and orchestrate post‑provisioning tasks using Ansible playbooks.
- Minimum 10 years experience in AWS architecture and Terraform.
- Hands‑on experience building Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with AWS database services.
- Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, security, and compliance.
- Experience with Terraform Enterprise, Bitbucket, Jenkins, XLR, Code Pipeline.
- Experience with Ansible playbooks is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
